Airside

In the distance is BHX.
I was making a delivery in there today. I drove next to the planes and could even wave to the pilots. I didn't do that though because they'd probably think I was a bit strange. I can't have then thinking that.
I'm a lot strange.

About Time Too

It's a washing machine.
It's only been about six months since I've had a working washing machine in the house. I finally got round to doing something about the situation. It's a fairly simple machine so not much to go wrong with it.
Just my computer to sort out now. That's been out of order for the same amount of time.

My Growing Secret

If you ever wondered how I get my cacti to grow so well then here's the answer.
I let the pencil top cats roam free and in return they fertilise the soil. I'm sure it would work for you too.
Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Have You Herd

For some reason these cows are still singing xmas carols.
It was nice while I was eating my dinner but now it's annoying.
My Cat has just called me to let me know that there is a power cut at home. It's a good job it's daylight and that My Cat's make up isn't mains powered.
There would be a real problem then.

Super Store

This is the huge Asda at Bletchley, home of the codebreakers.
The store is nearly as big as Alan Turing's bombe. Deciphering the rows of goods is a task too especially if all you want is milk and cornflakes.
My brain was bleeding after two minutes.

Super Speedy

This is my friend Dave.
He lives in Western Supermarket which is miles from Leicester but that didn't stop him from sending me a text reply to the previous post about a minute after me posting it.
Mr Dave wins the Roadrunner prize for the fastest reply ever.
Can anyone beat this record? Who knows.

The Waiting Game

Oh no! It's The Jeremy Kyle Show.
I have to wait in the repair shop for my new tacho to be fitted. There's a TV in the waiting area and it's tuned to ITV so that means I'm watching no brainer telly.
It makes me glad I have a job which is more than can be said for most of the people on the show.
It's a tough job watching TV and getting paid for it.

Shiny Shiny

Among todays many chores was cleaning the Purple Peril.
Like I say, it may only be a £500 car but it's my £500 car. That's why I like to look after it.
One of the door speakers wasn't working either so I fixed that too. Speakers flipping out really bugs me so I had to get it sorted ASAP.
My Cat is ill today and has to whisper so I'm looking after her too. I'm very busy on my day off.
I think I'll have some proper R&R later.

Amazing

Mmm.
I've just eaten a pasta salad for my lunch, it was very tasty. It was made with tuna and sweetcorn. I want to know how they grow the tuna and sweetcorn together.
My theory is that they put corn on the cob's in the fish tank with the tuna's and then the fish eat the corn and when they put the tuna in the blender all the sweetcorn flies out and the fish turns into chunks.
It's amazing. I wonder who worked out how to do that if indeed that's the way it works.
Which I'm sure must be the method.

The MikiStrange Prediction

If this year is anything like past years then I can predict the weather.
It's 16 degrees centigrade and sunny with clear blue skies today and my prediction is that in two weeks time it'll be pouring with rain and generally miserable.
You'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see if I'm right.
I'd be happy to be wrong though.

Lazy Hazey Days

It's turning into a warm day. The sun is a little hazey but it's still a nice day.
More like this please.

Back At Base

Due to me being ultra efficient I'm back at the branch for my lunch today.
Less ultra efficient is me catching my tacho tray with my knee this morning and rendering it useless.
The graf above is at the back of the branch and the stream is some kind of storm drain. It's not often very full with water but it is often full of rubbish. I find it hard to grasp that people are so uncaring about litter. How can they live among litter they've discarded themselves. They'd be the first to complain if it was never cleared or if it attracted loads of vermin. They'd be up in arms if it started to cause health problems in their community.
Littering is the action of short sighted people who are lazy and probably a bit thick too.
Rant over.

Tin Food

I had to buy this cat food in order to get my cornflakes from Tesco.
The boys will be happy when I get home.
It was all to do with spending a voucher and I hadn't quite spent enough.
It all ended up fine in the end and I'll have made the boys happy so I don't mind spending a bit more.

Sweet Music

Aah! Look at it.
It's part of the interface for Music 2000 on the PS2. I've been rediscovering the joy that is working with this complex beast. OK, so it's not anywhere near as complex as today's DAW's but because it's self contained you do get to know all the working parts and get full use out of them. Fans of Reason will understand.
I'm just happy to be picking up where I left off and getting some new inspiration along the way. Hopefully that will translate to FL Studio once my DAW is up and running in a couple of weeks time.

Afternoon

This lorry says heil to everyone driving behind it.
I'm saying heil to you too, my loyal blog readers.
That's all for now.

The Dreaming Spire

The church spire at Uppingham is dreaming about bloody revolutions and farmers with pitchforks attacking roundheads.
It's better than staring at middle class England sipping coffee and dreaming about being upper class.
I'm with the spire.

Chew Chew

My Cat has insisted that we find somewhere to stop for coffee and cake.
We've ended up at some or other heritage centre which is dedicated to all things steel, like trains and stuff.
There's a big queue for sausage rolls and tea.
I hope it's worth the wait or I'll be forced to lick the rest of the paint off the engine in the picture.

Catch The Worm

Early mornings, bright sunshine and Croft car boot.
It's that time of year again. Stupidly early starts, sausage breakfasts and sniffing out bargains among the tat. My Cat managed to get me down here and already the car is full with a bike, a couple of planters and various bits of clothing.
It's a good job I own a Mondeo with an ample boot.
I just wish we lived in a house with as much room.

Friday Night Again

It's another night in with Google Reader, a bottle of wine, some cigarettes and at some point a dinner to round off the night.
I love my Friday nights in. On the TV tonight is the special Red Nose Day show. So far it's been good telly. The laptop entertainment is good too, plenty of links to follow. I imagine I'll do some internet nosing about later and check the stats on my upload last weekend. If you haven't listened to my tunes I'll know you know.
Back to the cigarettes and wine.
Maybe more later, if not then tomorrow.

Hoodies

Who says hoodies are a bad thing.
Here's a speed camera wearing one. That means that no-one will get a ticket here today. It's been out of use for ages. I reckon that all the money it generated has been spent on cakes so they can't fix it.
Keep stuffing your face guys.

Pussycat

Today on my lunchbreak I have been feeding this big cat some honey nut cornflakes.
He likes them and says meow then he claws my leg for some more. I feed him some more then I put a bandage on my leg.
Bad cat.

The Lorry

Just in case you were wondering what my truck looks like. Here it is.
I eat and sleep in here and today I'm in Milton Keynes again. Time to have some lunch.
I also started the song last night. I'll tell you all about it when it's finished.

Path To Nowhere

Today I'm parked next to a footpath which leads from a layby on the A14.
It goes up a hill but after that I don't know where. I can't imagine it gets used much. Maybe I'll write a song about it.
But maybe not.

The Laundrette

I wonder if watching my washing go round could bring me the right inspiration to write a classic.
I doubt it. Anyway, I have to call My Cat to see what she's up to which may distract me somewhat.
Then I'll probably have to make dinner!
More tomorrow.

It's Monday

After a productive weekend it's back to the grindstone.
I've got a nice view today that I'm hoping will be both calming and inspirational because I need to write some lyrics for a couple of songs I'm working on.
It'll either be somewhere like here or maybe even...

New Old Music

I've been meaning to do this for a long time.
I've finally got round to getting a few tracks that I recorded in 2001 onto the web. Although the tracks are eight years old now this is the first public release so head over to the Internet Archive site and have a listen.
Don't forget you can comment on this post and the tracks without logging in or having a Blogger account.
I'm glad I've got the music online, it's cleared my head and cleared the way for me to start recording some new stuff. This time I'm going back to the software I used for my 'Militia Imperfect' stuff, Music 2000 on the PS2.
I'll release details of the new work here when it gets released.

Dinner

This is my dinner tonight.
Eggs on beans on toast is the way forward.
Two nights on the trot.
It's a good thing.

Twitchers

I'm next to a little lake today.
There are a group of bird watchers just down the road hoping to spot something or other. Little do they realise that their presence is probably making the little tweets hide.
Maybe a group of people should hang out outside a twitchers house with binoculars and see how they like it.
Maybe they're just a bunch of bird pervs. I've seen that kind of thing on the net. Weird.

Transport

Today I have all kinds of transport for company.
I'm on the A5 in Milton Keynes next to the London train line, plenty of cars and trucks and next to some road works too.
Apparently the Romans built this road and called it Watling Street. They'd be happy to see it getting so much use today.
Having said that there wouldn't be many happy drivers if they had to wait behind a slow moving legion or two.

Dog Gone

That's handy.
If you're pet dog has a load of babies and you don't want them then this drop off point is where you should bring your new litter of puppies.
It says Litter on the front so that you know you're in the right place.
I think it's a nice service for dog owners unlike those poo bins which are always overflowing and stink.

More Sunday Breakfast

Another Sunday market, another Sunday breakfast.
It seems that the week both starts and ends at this point regardless of what the actual time is. The rest of the day and week is less certain but that's a good thing.
If I knew exactly what I'd be doing for the next seven days I may well just stay in bed and buy lotto tickets online.
