I much prefer stopping in the countyside to industrial estates.
This is mainly because if you look carefully in the hedgerows you can find cows nests. I found one today and stole an egg, the one in the picture above.

Lunchtime is in a lorry park on the M1 today.
I did pull in a little way down the road but I was downwind from a sewage works a my cereal just wouldn't have tasted the same.

He's my new two wheeled friend. We have great fun going to and from work and I'm sure we'll have just as much fun on other adventures too.

It's not often I wash my dirty linen in public but today is one of those days.
For months I've been getting away with cleaning my clothes at my friends house but now I'm working in Leicester that isn't possible. For months I've also been avoiding buying a new washing machine but I'll have to get one of those soon too.
I blew this months budget on Oakey but I don't mind doing that. For now I'll just have to put up with everyone looking at my socks through a huge glass window as they go home to the comfort of a nice house with onboard washing machine.
B#*tards.
After 24 hours of testing all is well.
That is, after a ride to and from work I'm ready to introduce my new riding buddy.

All the dials are at zero and so is my stomachs dial.
I'm hungry, I've forgotten my wallet and I've got to have my break which means sitting around all miserable. I was going to bring cereal with me but my lunchbox wasn't clean so I didn't bother. What a mistake that was.
I think I'll make some pasta for dinner tonight right after eating some peanut butter on toast.
I'll also make sure that my lunchbox is clean too.
I'm starting to think that feeling hungry is the same as feeling stupid.
For over a year I've been trying to get my PSP to talk to my PS3 over the internet. Today I cracked it.
There have been problems with routers and methods. It all worked today and the picture above shows me listening to my music from 30 miles away. The stream is a little choppy but not that bad considering the distance it has to travel. I'm going to try a few experiments and see what else can be achieved over the wireless connection.
For now though I'm very happy.
Because I'm on tacho these days, time dictates where I stop for lunch. Today, my birthday, I'm on an industrial estate. It's not an attractive place to be but it does have a sausage van and I've had one of their batches as a birthday treat.
I think My Cat might take me out for dinner tonight so I'm going to fast now.
You never know, I might get a cake too.
This is the cycle path I use to get to work at my new job in Leicester.
It's very quiet at the moment but it does get used in the morning. I'd like to see it used more. It would be nice if it was busy all the time. Hopefully one day people will get the message and we'll all get more cycle path's too.
It just had to be done.
My last opportunity to get a sausage and egg tiger bread baguette from the food wagon near Alcester couldn't be missed.
It's the best food for miles around. Since I won't be down this way for a very long time if ever I thought one last visit was in order.
I'm full and happy. Wonder if Leicester has any such treats in store for me.
There's only one way to find out. Eat my way around the city and county.
Good job I'll be cycling to work from next week.
Just when you thought it was safe to venture out of the house and down to the pub...
Down comes the snow. I thought we'd had enough of the white stuff last weekend but apparently not. Time to get the Huskies out.
They make the house stink anyway.
Apart from the fact I've got another angry boil that the doctor needs to lance it's another snowy day.
The doctors surgery doesn't open until 8.45am and I've been awake since 5.30am trying to find a comfortable way to sit down. Not only that but I'm going to have to walk a couple of miles to see the doc because the roads are so dodgy.
And that's if I can get an appointment. Wish me luck.
It's snowing in February.
This is good. It means that the weather is about right for the time of year.
It's makes my day off pretty too.
